Pulse-width modulated reversible control for DC motor is used to control brushed DC motors (DC motor). The board allows control via pulse-width modulation. The pulse duty cycle is controlled by a potentiometer connected via a 20cm cable. The potentiometer has a second ring that enables the motor movement itself. A 7-segment display is available, visualizing the PWM pulse duty cycle from 1 to 100%. The controller also allows motor reversal via a three-position button: | - rotate left, 0 - motor stopped, || - rotate right. When switched to position 0, the controller forcibly stops the electric motor. Connection of the motor and power supply to the board is made via screw terminals.

Available are:

  • input terminal: POWER + and -, through which the board is powered

  • output terminal: MOTOR, through which the motor is powered.

Please note that due to the nature of the reversible control (H-bridge of transistors) it is not possible to determine which end of the MOTOR terminal is + and which is -.

The board allows adjustment of the PWM pulse duty cycle from 0 to 100%. This ensures precise control of the DC motor speed. Loads up to 3000W (at 50V and 60A consumption) can be controlled. The board is built on the basis of powerful transistors connected in an H-bridge. All power components are cooled via aluminum heatsinks.

Advantages of Pulse-width modulated reversible control for DC motor:

·         Presence of four mounting holes – stable mounting

·         Easy adjustment of output voltage – with potentiometer

·         High performance – up to 60A output current.

·         Small module size allows easy integration into devices

·         Reversibility of the controlled electric motor

·         Brake for the controlled electric motor

Applications of Pulse-width modulated reversible control for DC motor:

·         Control of DC motors in both directions of rotation

·         Industrial applications

·         Applications in DC motor drives

·     Providing the required supply voltage for the motor when a higher supply voltage is present in the machine or system.
