Buck converter with XL4015 is used to reduce DC voltages. The operating input voltage is 4.5V to 30V , and the output 1.3V to 30V. It is built on the basis of an integrated circuit XL4015, which is a buck converter (step down) with a built-in power transistor. The circuit operates with very few external components and is therefore preferred for building this type of converter board. The integrated circuit provides an efficiency reaching up to 96% in optimal cases. Quiescent consumption is also low when no load is connected – 5mA. The built-in power transistor allows use with loads up to 5A when using the cooling heatsink.

Advantages of DC-DC buck converter with XL4015

  • Miniature board dimensions allow easy integration into devices
  • Presence of two mounting holes – stable fixing in mobile devices
  • Easy adjustment of output voltage – with a precision potentiometer
  • High performance – up to 3A output current

Applications of DC-DC buck converter with XL4015
