Board Specifications:
RAMPS 1.6 is a controller board designed for controlling 3D printers. It connects via pin headers to a microcontroller board Arduino MEGA2560 or Re-Arm. The board is optimized for building small to medium 3D printers with up to 2 extruders. It is built as an upgrade over similar boards Ramps 1.4 and 1.6. Power delivery to the heated bed and extruders has been significantly improved. The powerful MOSFET transistors share a common aluminum heatsink (included in the kit). Multiple signals for controlling the 3D printer are brought out to socket and pin headers. The board supports 5 stepper motor drivers (X, Y, Z, E0, E1) with dedicated output pins for the motors. The STEP, DIR, ENA signals can be taken from headers when using external drivers. WARNING: when using A4988 and DRV8825 drivers, it is necessary to short the SLP(SLEEP)/RST pins beforehand.
Headers for connecting endstops are provided, for up to 6 endstops. Screw terminals are available for connecting 2 heaters - 2 extruders. High-current screw terminals provide power to the board, extruders, and heated bed – 20A and 5A fuses. 3 thermistor inputs are brought out to headers, used to control the temperatures of extruder 1, extruder 2, and the heated bed. When using 1 extruder, the second output can be used to control a variable speed fan (PWM). Miniature LEDs allow checking of activated outputs – heaters and fans, and the presence of supply voltage. A RESET button is available, used to reset the microcontroller board connected to RAMPS 1.6.
Power for RAMPS 1.6 is supplied via 5V from the microcontroller board or from the screw terminals, selected via a jumper. The screw terminal supply is 12V.
Multiple signals are brought out to all headers, each of which can be seen on the bottom layer of the board, printed in white.
